Considering my personal project and the narrative I want it to have.

This weeks class consisted of better understanding my project and what type of narrative I want it to have. I focussed on looking back at my project and what the main feelings and characteristics are that it should have.

Understanding My Story

I feel the most important thing about this week was figuring out what my brand story was, and how this impacts the way I share the content about my project. It is not that you can share the information of each project in the same way. Depending on the audience, goal and personality you shape the way to tell a story. Pablo gave us some branding boards to use to better understand our project and my favorite ones I filled out are showed below.

Reflecting on Communicating Design 02

While reflecting on my project and taking a better look at how I want others to see the work I am doing I feel that I also gained a deeper understanding of what the core takeaways should be of my project. So far during communicating design I continue to learn more about the way one presents their project and themselves and how one can best explain/ tell their story.

The brand value exercises were something new to me and it really helped in the way of thinking of your project as a brand or way of being instead of just something you are working on. I did struggle in the beginning to clearly articulate the purpose of my project and which values are most important but as the time went by I started to get a clearer and clearer idea. 

I would say in the future it might be better for me to go back to this exercise and do it again when I am even further in the process, as I can then even better relate to which core issues I need to address.
